Job Role
The successful candidate will perform the following functions:

Lead the research team to complete the project within the allotted timelines and budgets.


Plan, coordinate and execute assigned research projects.


Develop research policies and procedures.


Perform day-to-day management of project team and address any team issues promptly.


Assist in recruitment, training, performance evaluation and promotion of project staff.


Act as primary contact for client communications.


Report project progress, status, and issues to the client on a regular basis.


Prepare project documentation and research reports for management review.


Work with Project Director to prepare effective project and implementation plans, review and monitoring of project activities.


Provide support to the field offices and implementing partners focusing on work plans, sub agreement, periodic reviews of the project and reporting.


Conduct team meetings to discuss project status and issues.


Monitor project progress regularly and report it to Project Director.


Follow and enforce state and federal regulations concerning ethical approvals.


Qualifications/Experience

Must possess a First Degree in any Social Sciences/Health Sciences field of study and a Postgraduate Degree is an added advantage.


Must possess a minimum of seven (7) years post NYSC experience in research or monitoring and evaluation with experience with longitudinal surveys.


Must possess at least three years of hands on work experience in research, monitoring and evaluation with experience working as part of the core research team of a research study.


Must possess experience with database management and table technology for data collection and monitoring purposes.


Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel applications and knowledge of ERP applications.


Must have experience in managing other research/monitoring and evaluation officers at a supervisory level.


Skills and Competency Required:

Excellent knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods.


Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.


Ability to analyse, resolve research issues promptly and accurately.


Ability to present research findings to management in an appropriate manner.


Ability to prepare project budgets, schedule, and monitor the control of expenses within allotted budget.


Must possess integrity, good oral communication; good interpersonal relational skill,


Ability to work under pressure and must be result oriented.
