Women ICTpreneurs Nigeria Training Program for Nigerian Women 2019

Tech ME is presently receiving applications from young women living in Lagos, Nigeria for its Women ICTpreneurs Nigeria program.

 Women ICTpreneurs Nigeria is a training program utilizing technology to empower women with income-generating skills. The overall goal of the project is to empower underserved women in Lagos with entrepreneurial and developmental skills to improve their standard of living and help them become self-reliant productive members of society. The project will bridge the technology gender gap in Nigeria.

At the end of the training program, participants will have the opportunity to pitch their business idea for a chance at getting seed capital.

The project will deliver training on ICT entrepreneurship, specifically on web development, graphic design and repair of ICT devices (smartphones, laptops, tablets). Selected participants will be given full entrepreneurship training which will include; how to write a business plan, pitch an idea and financial management. The project will target unemployed graduates and out-of-school youths

Selection criteria:

·         Must be between 18 - 30 years
·         Must have completed at least Secondary School

·         Be able to communicate in English both in writing and verbal
·         Must be currently unemployed
·         Must be available to commit to 6-week training
·         Passion to make a positive change in their community
