Apply for Greenlight Initiative Advocates Traffic Safety Training 2019 for Youths in Abuja (Fully Funded)

GreenLight Initiative received a seed grant from the Pollination Project to develop the capacity of 60 young persons in Abuja, Nigeria to become traffic safety advocates.

 The train-the-trainers program will empower and improve the capacity of these young people to organize and implement programs geared towards improving road safety and advocating for policies shift in the area of traffic safety in Nigeria.

The training is schedule to holds on the 12th - 16th March 2019 in Abuja.
By the end of the training, participant will be able to;
a. Understand and substantiate the different factors that are responsible for road traffic crashes (RTC) and develop solutions .
b. Understand the global view and local perception of RTC
c. Equip with right knowledge to promote and implement evidence backed road safety intervention.
d. Be able to identify gaps in road safety and develop partnership towards developing campaign solution .
e. Identify possible ways of communicating safety messages and demonstrate how to do it .
f. Understand road safety risks areas and learn how to raise funding for developing solution .
g. Understand and be familiar with first aids administration to RTC victims .
h. Take action in their local communities to reduce fatalities and improve road safety.

Eligibility for Greenlight Advocates Training 
The GreenLight advocates training is open to NYSC serving corps member and young people who are passionate about traffic safety in Nigeria.  Intending participants will need to apply to be consider for a spot to participate in the training.

Cross River State Releases Names of Successful Applicants for its Teaching and Non Teaching Staff

His Excellency, the Governor (Senator Professor Ben Ayade) has graciously approved issuance of employment letters to Two Thousand, Two Hundred and Twenty (2,220) successful candidates that applied for Teaching and Non-Teaching staff positions to fill the vacancies created by retirements and deaths in the primary school system.  In line with this, I am pleased to inform you that names of successful candidates have been released.
